My phone’s screen broke. Which means I won’t be able to post the dailies using my usual method. I’m using a friend’s phone for this one, but I can’t guarantee that will be available forever.
I might not be able to post a daily as consistently the next few days, but I will absolutely keep drawing them to keep up with the challenge.
Also, I’ve tried scanning, but the scanner available to me doesn’t quite do the trick (output contrast is very low and placing the dailies sketchbook flat is a pain). Also, my familiarity with image manipulation software isn’t very good – I know it’s possible to enforce the black lineart and filter it out of a blue sketch, and it seems so easy in tutorials, but I can’t seem to do that without having to spend 20 minutes of extra manual cleanup afterwards.
Quite a difference from the 2-minute process I’ve been using on my phone (camera -> adjust perspective -> convert to B&W). If anyone has a good tutorial for (free) image software that can handle a bit of roughness in scanned drawings I’d be grateful.
