We ended up sleeping at a monastery. Usually I’m a bit uncomfortable in highly religious places, as if at any point some priest might decide that I’ve offended their sacred ground. At first it’s like “all are welcome” and the next moment it’s “you drank water from the wrong kind of bottle, now we must sacrifice your life to appease God” or something like that.
But their art was pretty phenomenal. Illustrative, to the point, and you can easily tell who the good guys are with those holy circles. Gave me the idea to depict the Royal Sisters with them.
In retrospect, it may have been offensive to our hosts if I showed them this.
